About us
What is Passo
Passo is an independent cycling and photography project documenting rides and places across Europe.
The project focuses on road and gravel routes, seasonal riding conditions, and the atmosphere of each place. Rather than performance or competition, Passo explores what it feels like to ride through landscapes, across regions, and between places.
Each page is built around a real ride or area, combining photography and short-form narratives to provide context and visual grounding
How the content is made
All routes featured on Passo are personally ridden and photographed.
There is no stock imagery and no sponsored content.
Each Ride & Place documents a specific route, area, or region, with attention to real riding conditions , season, terrain, and overall atmosphere. The focus remains on places, movement, and the experience of riding through them.
"Passo means pass in Italian, as in Passo dello Stelvio"
The meaning of Passo
The name reflects what cycling represents here: physical effort, elevation, and the ability to see further. Riding a pass is both demanding and exploratory. It's a way to move through landscapes, discover places, and encounter people, with the bike always at the center.
